A bit more about us

Our digital PR and content-writing courses are led by Serena Fokschaner, an experienced freelance journalist who has written for national titles ranging from The Observer to The Sunday Times and the Telegraph. Her copy writing clients include Dulux and the British Embassy in Tokyo.

Serena has interviewed and written about numerous professionals: from architects and interior designers to craftsmen, high-street and online retailers, restaurateurs and hoteliers.

This experience means that she understands at first-hand the challenges of getting your story heard in a crowded digital world.

Educated at Oxford (MA, Eng Lit) and more recently at Birkbeck (Graduate Certificate History of Art) universities, Serena was inspired to create this session by a workshop she has devised for The Prince’s Trust where she runs specialist workshops and acts as a business mentor.

Who are our clients?

We have created sessions for organisations ranging from Sotheby's and City University to Morley College and the British Institute of Interior Design. Our private seminars draw a range of professionals; from designers to architects, retailers, charity workers, social entrepreneurs, financiers or PRs, in fact anyone who wants to know how to get their business featured in the media.

A recent testimonial

'Serena delivered a bespoke workshop about how to get press in the digital age to ten heritage sites from across West London. Attendees varied from larger institutions with dedicated marketing staff to smaller, volunteer led sites. Serena pitched the session so that the basics were covered for beginners whilst ensuring that more advanced participants were stretched. Everyone left feeling a lot more confident about how they can use their sites and collections to get good press. Filled with top tips, case studies and fun exercises Serena ensured that attendees were engaged through out. Thank you Serena, we will be sure to send you our press clippings!'  Natalie Rhodes, Heritage Hub Education Coordinator, Orleans House Gallery, London.
